As the crisp winter air settles over Tauranga, Papamoa, and the wider Bay of Plenty, now is the time to make sure your home stays warm, comfortable, and energy-efficient. One of the smartest steps you can take? Servicing your heat pump before the real chill sets in.
Whether you rely on your system daily or use it occasionally, heat pump maintenance is essential to ensure it’s running at peak performance, especially during the colder months when it works the hardest. At Hiko Air, we make the process seamless, affordable, and effective.
🔧 Why Heat Pump Servicing Matters This Winter
✅ 1. Improved Efficiency
When your heat pump is clean and finely tuned, it doesn’t have to work as hard to keep your home warm. A regularly serviced unit runs more efficiently, delivering fast, even heating while using less power—great for both comfort and your power bill.
✅ 2. Lower Energy Costs
Over time, dust and debris build up on filters and coils, reducing airflow and increasing energy consumption. A seasonal service ensures your heat pump runs economically, helping you save on electricity throughout winter.
✅ 3. Prevent Breakdowns When You Need It Most
There’s nothing worse than a heat pump that fails during a cold snap. Preventive maintenance helps identify minor issues before they become expensive repairs, giving you peace of mind when you need it most.
✅ 4. Better Air Quality
A serviced heat pump means cleaner filters and healthier air for your family. Removing built-up dust, mould, or allergens is particularly important during winter when homes are more closed up and airflow is reduced.
